5 Minute Organisation Ideas
Hello Kreators! This blog post is about three DIYs that will help you become more organised. I found that these are actually really useful and handy (the sunglasses hanger is my fav), so I hope you that you have fun kreating them. These organisation ideas literally take 5 minutes - quick and easy! The instructions are all below, enjoy!
Sunglasses Hanger
Materials:
-sunglasses
-clothes hanger
-washi tape
-scissors
-Mod Podge
-paintbrush
Instructions:
The instructions for this DIY is pretty simple. Take your hanger and wind a piece of your washi tape on, then cut when it's on. You could chose to do alternating washi tape (which takes a bit longer to do) or just continue wind one washi tape around. Now to really seal the washi tape, I painted a layer of Mod Podge on, making sure I get each end of the tape stuck down. Don't worry if it looks really white, it will dry clear. Once it dries (I suggest leave it overnight), find a place to hang your hanger and hang your sunglasses on it. There you go! Now you have a place to keep all your sunnies, and is super easy to access - (not to mention that it looks really cool). There are pictures below to assist you.
GeoContainer
Materials:
-Scissors
-Glue
-GeoContainer template (I have attached the Word Doc below, just print it out)
-Card
-Washi tape (optional)
Instructions:
1. Stick the card to the template.
2. Then cut the shape out.
3. Now fold along all the lines - it should look like this:
4. This step is optional, but I thought it would look really cute. Using washing tape, tape along the folds.
5. Cut along the dotted lines.
6. This step is a little tricky, but if you play around with it you will eventually get it looking how it' supposed to. Put glue on the numbered triangle and attach the corresponding triangle on top of it. (Meaning the triangle on the other side of the dotted line you cut). Repeat this for all other triangles.
Voila! Now you can use it to hold anything (probably stationery!)
Bag Hooks
This one isn't really a DIY, but more of an organisation hack. All you need is some hooks (removable or permanent) which you can easily find at a dollar store, bags, and a flat vertical surface - (I used my wardrobe door). When you buy your hooks make sure they are wide enough to be able to hang your bag's strap. I bought a variety of sizes just to be safe.
Simply work out where you are going to put the hooks then stick them on. If you're doing it on a wardrobe door like me, make sure you can close it before sticking the hooks on! Now hang your bags and you're good to go!
Thanks for reading this blog post and I hope you use the ideas as much as I do!
